if only these guys did a proper research. We live in turbulent times, 
but not turbulent enough to ask for patents on (our) software inventions.

It seems we need some kind of tsunami that creates a tabula rasa for 
sharing on a horizontal plain, in a brotherly [sisterly] manner; not 
just another cow to milk. This is what these guys still need to 
understand: Replacing the brand Microsoft by brand FOSS is no way.
We need to replace the mindset 'Microsoft' with a mindset 'FOSS'.

Please, convey this message to the organiser, will you? Since I can't 
make it during these two days ... .
Instead, my colleague Prof. Khairuddin, will come for Uniten; and offer 
a new potential aspect to foster FOSS in the universities.
