Many a open source project to code for. Find a simple app to write, 
spend a few months writing it (roughly 3, its seasonal, i.e. summer, 
after all), and get USD$4,500 at the end of it all!

I should probably plug the fact that I'm the project admin for MySQL, 
and have waited always for participants from Malaysia (or Asia, even)

Easiest $4,500 you'll make, fixing a bug or two ;)
