[ossig] Invitation for all Malaysian Linux community

Hi all,

To pay respect to the local Malaysian Linux community, we are proudly 
inviting all people here to join Chevna community, a new local distro 
based on Ubuntu. This is a first announcement made in Malaysia before we 
announced to the global community.

We produce as two version, one is community (continuous free) version 
and one with a support as to sustain our continuous development.

If you are representing an organization/company (especially in Malaysia) 
as a developer, consultant of opensource product/application and/or a 
reseller of Linux distribution, you also can register your company in 
our site without cost. We will not only hosting a repository of packages 
but we will also host a 'repository' of OSS developer 
(organization/company) in Malaysia.

*About Chevna:*

Chevna is a full-featured operating system (based on Ubuntu) like 
Windows and suitable for desktop and laptop. In March 2007, Chevna 
introduced Chevna 1.0, a Linux-based operating system, designing to 
serve consumers a fully functional system with an ease of use. It 
includes cutting-edge features such as a Live/Installation CD, finely 
tuned desktop based on KDE, fuse NTFS, WiFi support, bundled with a 
popular software from every category which fit for a daily computer 
usage and much more. In addition, Chevna's features call GetApps; an 
approach to make installing software on Chevna fast and easy. User can 
browse approximately ~20,000 of available software packages in GetApps. 
Chevna offer its operating system for free to the community and a 
commercial (support) version for public and enterprise sector and allows 
businesses to deploy Linux systems with confidence.

We would like to invite anyone to participate as a forum 
moderator/supporter and a developer to support the community version of 
Chevna. We also might hire our own developer in the future as we grow.
