imho,

ms use of the open office xml (ooxml) term is intentionally used to 
confuse (aghh.. me confused me words)

when open office xml or ooxml is mentioned, people who are vaguely 
familiar with the subject will immediately think openoffice.org (i had 
that misconception when i read the subject of this email).

anyway, i signed the petition.
