Senior[UTF-8?]DEVELOPERs - Open Source System

Responsibilities
* To perform product/solutiondevelopment activities using OSS technologies to develop in-demand andviable solutions for various vertical industries

* Responsible for functionalanalysis, information gathering & design

* Develop module specificationsduring product/solution development life-cycle

* Participate in unit and systemtesting during product/solution development life-cycle

* To work with R&D engineersin OSS product/solution planning, design & development life-cycle

* To provide post-developmentproduct support to develop appropriate bug fixes

* To assist Application Support Manager in planning &budgeting for new product/solution development

* To project manage application development projects

* To mentor and lead junior team members

Requirements
* Degree/AdvancedDiploma/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science,Information Technology or related field

* Minimum 4 years of related industryexperience in R&D or application development role

* Strongexperience in system analysis and software development methodologies

* Strongunderstanding and familiarity in OSS software development tools such asEclipse, Bluefish, etc.

* Strongunderstanding and familiarity in software development technologies thatwould be relevant for OSS product development, in either of thefollowing groups:

-PHP, XML, Wiki, AJAX, Joomla

-Perl, shell scripts

              -C language, C++

-Ruby, Rails
* Knowledgein web design and OSS technologies such as Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL,OpenOffice, open document format, security solutions, web servers, andothers will be a strong advantage.

* Possession of accredited OSScertifications such as Certified MySQL Developer (CMDEV), PHP 5 Certification etc will be advantageous

* Must bewell-organized, independent, take initiatives, detailed and able tomeet tight deadlines.

* Excellentproject management, communication, written and presentation skills
