Hi all,

After a two-week delay due to some technical issues, I am pleased to finally
announce RC1 of Embun is ready for download at
http://embun.xanadu.com.my/embun/iso/embun-2.0RC1.iso
. We, at Xanadu, would really appreciate if the community have a go at it
and give us feedback so that can improve it for all Malaysians.

Changes/enhancements from 1.1 include:-

- On-access antivirus scanning (for the Documents and Desktop 'folders')
- 'Fixed' Windows sharing (read-only at this stage)
- Bahasa Malaysia spell checking in Open Office Writer, Calc and Impress.
- Desktop search (via Beagle)
- Inline PDF viewing in Mozilla Firefox
- Improved multimedia support including Quicktime trailers on Apple.com,
YouTube and other Flash-based online video sites, etc.
- Malaysia localization installed by default
- Deluge Bittorrent client
- Gizmo VoIP client for free calls to all telephone lines in 60 countries
including Malaysia
- Brasero Disc Burner (for faster toasting)

Also, by the end of today, you'd be able to get the iso via bittorrent (via
thepiratebay.org).
