[ossig] openssh issue

got a query. can openssh do an ascii file transfer? tried the openssh
site,but could not find the relevant info. if openssh really can't
transfer files in ascii, then i need a sftp client.

so say, i have openssh and a sftp client like fescure, is intergration
between these two possible? ie. how to use ssh binaries(for the ssh
connention ) together with fsecure's sftp(for file transfer)?
