Thanks for these suggestions. I'm sure when I submit these requirements,
someone in management will do some calculations to see if TM Net will
benefit in termsof dollars and cents, not counting goodwill :) Don't
expect anything in the near future though. Everything takes time.
When I asked a technical person as to whether there were linux literate
personnel there at the Contact Centre, one of the remarks made to me by
a member of the User Group is that priority of service should be given
to "windows user" because they are the majority. I didn't know whether
to laugh or to cry. So much for addressing the digital divide and the
marginalized groups! And that comes under my SIG!. The TM Net's guy says
there are no linux expert (that's why Colin you can't get service
support) but there's one on the Mac. A laughable comment from this guy
is that "Linux is not so stable 2 years ago and now its quite OK". How
to carry out a discussion? So I just walked away, shaking my head.
