Hi, my friend needs someone with Unix or Solaris background who can be
based in Penang ASAP.
Competency on Unix or Linux : 6/10. (Mainly to able to administer UNIX).

## Server & System Support Engineers - ( BAYAN LEPAS - PENANG)

== Responsibilities: ==

* Perform routine data backup, file system cleanup and maintenance
activity for production servers
* Support maintenance and implementation of server and storage infrastructure.
* Monitoring and analysis of performance data
* Planning & executing data conversion activities.
* Assure service quality levels and standards with customers.

== Requirements ==

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Degree in Computer
Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
* At least 3 years experience in supporting and administrating HP-Unix
Server & Solaris systems environment.
* Preference is for those with some experience in administering Oracle
Databases.
* Must have good understanding of and working experience in backups
and restores of databases, and in troubleshooting performance
problems.
* Supporting users through phone, email or VPN to troubleshoot
problems, and when needed to provide 24x7 supports
* Must have good customer handling, communication and documentation
skills, including fluency in English.
* Must have very good analytical thinking, strong troubleshooting
skills and must be an independent worker.
* These positions are stationed with our MNC client's office at Bayan
Lepas, Penang.
