if I'd say *anything* about the topic of sw-patents in MY, I'd flog the 
second dead-most horse in here. (With education being the 
cannot-be-more-dead one.)

MIMOS is currently undergoing a full change of guard, and I am (still) 
surprised that neither in here nor in TheEdge any comment shows up.

On the other hand, one of my professors at the university used to say
